PHAZE JACKSON..."THE HARDEST PART"

OMG!!!! I was super shocked when I first heard "The HARDEST PART" by PHAZE JACKSON. I really don't know where to start...as soon as the beat drops, you automatically realize that this isn't your basic"rap song"(Produced byDJ CONESandRecorded and Mixed by Adam Korbesmeyer). The piano playing is so freaking BEAUTIFUL. I love how the beat is simple, yet beautifully complicated all at the same time. It's like you can hear and visualize someones fingers dancing all along the piano. All the way from one end to the other end of the piano!!! Once you settle into the beat, you realize that there is a small clap...like 1 individual is sitting next to you, right next to you...clapping along to the song. Not in an annoying way...but in a way that makes you feel like you are not alone while listening to "THE HARDEST PART"That's a good thing...because once you open your heart to the words PHAZE JACKSON is saying (*tears in my eyes) you will start to look around ...for a comforting friend, or someone to let you know..."I feel you, you are not alone". I don't care who you are. I don't care if you are the "toughest dude on the block", or "Mr.I don't love anyone"...trust me...after you hear the lyrics to "THE HARDEST PART" your heart will unfreeze itself. Your heart will beat faster and harder than it did before you downloaded the song. Be prepared...PHAZE JACKSON has found a sincere, honest, and delicate way of opening old wounds. Feelings you may have thought you had buried...thru "time",or "new" love...will slowly rise again...like a "love zombie". I feel like everyone can relate to the "THE HARDEST PART". If only I had PHAZE JACSKON in my life when I went thru things...loveheartbreakdeath....I would maybe have been stronger. "THE HARDEST PART" says everything I've ever wanted to say. I wouldn't just call PHAZE JACKSON a "rapper". After hearing this song, I will mos def add "painter" and "poet". It's amazing how he has managed to paint a picture via a song. When I listen to "THE HARDEST PART" it's like I can totally visualize a moment in my life...in my past...where I felt exactly like this song. This song doesn't need tons of angry lyrics or disrespectful words. PHAZE JACKSON speaks eloquently , as if he himself is working off a mended heart. With lyrics like "the hardest part was letting go", or "I tried to sing but I couldn't think of anything, that was the strangest start"....you will find yourself slowly sinking deeper and deeper into thought. It's refreshing to hear music that's honest, gentle, and genuine. After hearing this song, I feel like I've found closure in some forms of love in my life...and for that...I would like to thank  PHAZE JACKSON!!! XOXO

Okkkkkkk...soooooooo I don't usually get excitedabout new Dj's and their mixtapes. I mean come on....everybody and they mama...think they are a "Dj" now. So sometimes I get a headache when I hear"such n such is dj'n at such n such club" etc. Unless you are already part of an elite circle...it's hard as an independent dj to separate themselves from all the "other" dj'sDjAR has managed to take control of his talent, and is career with the strength of a hundred men. From self promotingmixing, and everything else it takes to be at the top...DjAR has managed to make name for himself. I can't stress this enough....but Cleveland...Cleveland is a hard town to crack. To try an accomplish anything on your own seems at times far fetched...but when you have the confidenceand talent to back you up like DjAr...losing will never be an option. A local favorite dj throughout East Cleveland (*yeah more than likely DjAR is spinning music at all the local bars..even downtown at times) DjAR is making sure everyone has the best time everwhile he's spinning his music. It's super cool to see DjAR rise to the top, and I wish him the best. Nothing more attractive than a hard working man. Not only is he making you dance at all your favorite hot spots...he's hosting hella mixtapes from all your local artists. Hey Mr. Dj...Turn it up!!!!! XOXO

CRAZY8THEGREAT...PROVES...NICE GUYS FINISH FIRST!!!

When I 1st met Crazy8TheGreat (*yes...his name is combined...so read it all together *headroll finga snap) It was back in the old MYSPACE days *sigh (RIP MYSPACE)Crazy8TheGreat was 1 of the first artists to send me music. Thinking back on it now....Crazy8TheGreat has always been on his grindHe has been pushing his music for so many years....that you would think by now...it would finally be his turn to BLOW. I mean there is no denying that this guy has the talenthas the self motivation, and finally has a solid team supporting him all the way ...VISIBLE LYRICSCrazy8TheGreat has dedicated his life to his music...and now it's time for "The Most Popular Lame" to finally make the winning shot!!!

Q. How did you get the name Crazy8TheGreat?

A. Lololol well...my Grandma was a huge fan of playing cards. I learned early that anything is possible with an 8 card. Just like music...and if you turn the number 8 sideways, it means "infinite". Plus the number 8 is "curvy"

I admit...I wasn't sure what to think of Crazy8TheGreat...he's very quiet, and shy. But I got hold of an amazing song he made called "INFATUATION". If this song doesn't make you respect this man's talent...then you can't be saved! It's pure freakin sexiness at it's finest...it's mos def..1 of the sexiest songs I've ever heard. I would kill to make a video for this song!!!!!

Q.You've been on the Cleveland music scene for a long time now. How long have you been doing music?
A. Well really since like 2003

Q. Has your style been the same?
A. NO! I mean when I first started 'rapping", I was really young, and I would rap just to rap. My songs didn't really have a meaning, or any depth to them...I was just rhyming words together. Now I'm more seasoned...as far as my lyrics, and stage performance.  Now my music is like a weapon with direction. I aim and shoot.

Q.When did your style change?
A. Bout 3 years ago...after signing with Visible Lyrics. I mean before I actually signed I went thru like a 6 month "Artist Development " bootcamp.

Q. What is "ARTIST DEVELOPMENT"?
A. It's where you learn about yourself. You dig deep and find out what kind of artist you are and what kind of artist you are trying to become. I literally cut off my hair, I had braids and cut em off.

Q.Who is VISIBLE LYRICS?
A. Oh man!!! VISIBLE LYRICS is the label I signed with. They support me 100%! I was at the "I Spit Competition" and I bumped into "Lollipop" aka Queen of Beats, and it's present history now!!!

Q.Where are you from?
A. I'm from Warrensville, but I graduated from Kennedy H.S.

Q.What kind of music are you into, you seem like you like all sorts of music?
A. I love all kinds of music! I download a lil of everything! Rock, pop, hip-hop....I'm really digging that new Justin Beiber...I mean the beats are sick! (*I am too...ya'll sleeping on it)

Q. Not many people would admit to liking Justin Beiber, yet you seem comfortable in all that you do. do you find that makes you an outcast?
A. Yeah...I would mos def say I'm an "outcast". I mean it seems like I've always been an outcast my whole life.

Q. Is that how you got the name ..."The Most Popular Lame"?
A. Yeah...I guess you can say that. I mean I've been doing music for a long time. I believe in my music, but for some reason I still am on the outside of the "music circle". No matter how hot my music is...it seems like I'm still not recognized.

Q.Who have you worked with?
A. Actually I 've worked with sooo many people. I've worked with super producer Yonny and Rami Beatz. Styles Dis Another1 has done sooo much for me, he does most of my music!

Q.How would you describe your style?
A. Edgy, truthful,  and painful storytelling

Q.I've notice you like to wear a lot of cartoon character t's etc. Why are you into characters?
A. Lolololol well....I didn't have much of a childhood growing up. My mom's struggled a lil...so now that I'm on my own, and  I resort back to old cartoons that used to make me smile as a kid. I dunno I've always been into cartoon and superheros etc. It's just me.......

Q. How did you get the name "The Most Popular Lame"?
A. I wasn't always the"coolest" kid in school. I wasn't always in the flyest clothes...my mom worked all the time...but I still had basic plain clothes...nothing to brag about. People made fun of me. Even now...I make great music...and everyone know's of me. Yet they don't "KNOW" me.

Q. Is this how you became a part of the "anti-bullying" campaign?
A. Yes! I was watching the news and they had a story about bullying. So my label Visible Lyrics hooked me up with the campaign and I've been to dozens of schools where I have performed and discussed anti-bullying.

Q.If you are well known throughout the industry, why do you find it difficult for people to collab with you or give you the credit you feel you deserve?
A. The music industry is a very competitive industry. I really don't want to sound cocky...but I think most people realize I'm a threat...lyrical wise. Let's get 1 thing straight....when I ask to be on a song, or anything like that...I'm not tryna take over the song...nor am I tryna outshine that artist. I'm just wanna enhance the song a lil lol.

Q. When is your new mixtape dropping?
A. As of now there is no actual release date yet....but it's coming!

Q. What will it be called?
A. The Road To Rising

Q. When do you think people will finally give you the credit you deserve?
A. NOW!!! I'm trying to reach out to all the people that can relate to me and what I'm saying. Hard work will mos def pay off!

Crazy8TheGreat and I sat for a lil longer. I realized he is much different in person than he is on stageOff stage he is quiet, withdrawn a lil. You can tell that he has a chip on his shoulder. Probably from the industry and all of the b.s that comes with it. Crazy8TheGreat just wants to make musicHe still believes that success is not a popularity contest. You can tell that he's not ready to give up just yet. He is actually just getting started. I can say that when I saw him perform for the first time at the ROC bar I was impressedHis stage performance was that of someone who has been doing music for a long time. It's obvious that he has been groomed and conditioned...wether it's from the support of his label VISIBLE LYRICS, or his artisticanimateddramatics are that of an artist that's been doing this for a long time. Either way Crazy8TheGreat put on an awesome show. With songs like "In for The Kill", and "Opening Anixety", it's difficult not to feel some kinda way when hearing him. This guy has built a huge fan base (*almost 5,000 followers on damn twitter!!!), because many people can relate to being an "outsider". Crazy8TheGreat won't let "stereotypes" hold him back...he will continue #RISING!!!!XOXO

RAY BANS...Don't Mind If I DO!

I am a FAN of Ray Bans! I've always been a huge fan! Even when I was younger...I used to worship my older cousins Ray Bans. As I got older...I found myself wanting a pair of Ray Bans...almost more than a car, or J's. You can't deny the classicsimple yet futuristic style of these legendary glassesRay Bans have been around...literally for generations. It would be almost impossible for these classic frames to ever become prehistoric. With soooooo many colors, you are sure to find what best suits your personality. I dunno...call me shallow (*Jenn your shallow) but I judge people on their eyewear. I shouldn't but I do.When I see a person wearing those oversized buggy frames (*we won't name any *Cough Cough Prada, even some Gucci) its makes me think...*snobuptightbasketball wives big purse carrying snob. (*Now this is just my own personal opinion.) Now when I see a person in Ray Bans...no matter how old or young...I always think "okkkk this person has great friggin taste! Coollaid back, modernyet classicdifferent, and freeRay Bans can be a lil pricey, but if you are willing to shell out money for shoes, then you must save up for some Ray Bans! They are a must have not just for Summer, but for concerts, clubs, smoke sessions, plane rides, and er damn thing else!!!! XOXO

CHIPPY NONSTOP...BITCH I BOUGHT IT OUT

Okkkkkkkkk....soooooo unless your living in a world without internet (*GASP jus the thought makes me ill) you should already kno...that I F*cks with CHIPPY NONSTOP!!!! Let's make 1 thing clear...CHIPPY NONSTOP isn't making music for critics to enjoy...she's making music for herself...and  her thousands of followers to enjoy. There is something contagious about her stylemusic, and personalityI absolutely LOVE her!!!! This video is freaking AWESOME!!! It's like an old 90's video. CHIPPY NONSTOP of course TWERKS her ass off, and even tho some may say her lyrics are "generic"...I beg to differ. She has conquered her own style. I LOVE everything about CHIPPY NONSTOP!!! Why wouldn't I...BITCH I BOUGHT IT OUT!!!! XOXO

FIRST THINGS FIRST... HYDE PARKS

Okkkkk soooooo I had a chance to go to a show held at the ROC BAR in the FlatsDowntown Cleveland. The bar wasn't unusually huge...actually small like. It had a beach kinda feel to it. Tiki kinda looking bar, patio outside for the smokers. You could purchase actual 40oz beers! (*that's always f*cking awesome!!!) I knew a few artists performing that day that I had been extra excited about checking out. When I walked thru the doors I was thinking "uh oh...small crowd"...but then again it was only like 6pm...still bright as hell outside. Needless to say after about 3 acts the crowd started to fatten up. Most of the acts were talented and cool. After watching a few artists perform I made my way to the bar and took a seat. There was a small intermission  between acts...so I took the time to kinda check my lip gloss, fidget with my crackberry (yes...I still worship my crackberry) and debate on if I should exit the venue and proceed with my night. I mean I wasn't really familiar with any of the last few acts performing...and the night seemed to be dragging a little. But soon as I had grabbed my purse of the bar counter and started walking out the door...I heard the sound of shuffling flip flopsscreaming "WOO WHOO'SSS"whistle blowing, and "HELL YEAH's". That's when my curiosity got the best of me and I turned around to see who was on stage. When my back was turned I heard what sounded like Nate Dogg, and Warren G ...or maybe even a little Slim Thug...I couldn't quit put my pinky on it.

I turned around...and to mysurprise...I saw a huge white guy....I mean huge! This guy was singing with soul, and rapping his ass off. He automatically had my attention. I found out later that his name is HYDE PARKS, and dude is from MENTOR, OH!!! The way HYDE PARKS performed you would have sworn he had did hella shows before. But actually...that was his first show...EVER!!!! He had the whole bar crowded around the stage....the whole crowd was rapping every lyric to his songs!!! No this guy was no faker....you can tell when an artist is passionate about their music...it seeps thru their performanceHYDE PARKS was sweating , red in the face....and you could see actual spit firing at the mic. Once I heard "Livin Like I'm Famous"...I was an automatic FAN! If I could blindfold you I would. That way you would be able to hear his music without first developing a "stereotype" about this "white rapper"Music is music...music has no color.  I was so damn excited...yes...excited to get his mixtape that I kinda stood in a line to get it! Yes he was that damn good! I didn't skip thru 1 song on his mixtape "FIRST THINGS FIRST". The mixtape reminds me of Old West Coast, meets suburban struggles, meets New York, meets down SouthHYDE PARKS talks about everything possible...and it's all relatable to me and those who grew up not necessarily in the "hood" but in an environment where there was still, sex, hoes, drugs, school, parents, homies, jail and everything else under the sun. It's obvious that HYDE PARKS makes music cuz he loves it.It almost seems as if you can tell...that music has been an outlet for HYDE PARKS to vent his feelings. Nothing fake about this guy...I'm sure HYDE PARKS can hold his own in this small circle of artists that have already been established. "GOTTA GET OUT" is another song that's dope as fuggggggg, and "LOST WITHOUT ME" demands lyrical respect! From his beats, to lyrical delivery...his music is addictive, and I wish HYDE PARK the best! Please trust me....this is a must have mixtape in your rotation! XOXO
