Okkkkk Soooo I just found a gem of an artist! (Ok ...okkkk I can't take credit for finding him, but you will thank me later for sharing him with you.) Meet Jimmy HuStle!!! He's the most raw, uncut, dope artist from Cleveland to drop! Well…actually Cleveland Hts. (*Go Tigers).  He is about to drop his mixtape "THE PLAIN DEALER", and if you are from Cleveland you know that name means a lot. At 1 time it was 1 of the largest newpapers in print! Everyone from the city would look to the Plain Dealer for news about EVERYTHING!  His video for "The Plain Dealer" is so damn fresh, that you can't help but watch it over and over again. Not only are you automatically sucked into his lyrical journalism , you are also left feeling educated, and somewhat sadden with the many truths he spits about in his personal situations (*that many of us can relate to) , and past situations that currently plague our beloved city. Jimmy Hu$tle shouts out Kinsman/Cleveland Hts,and his Mama. His lyrical delivery mos def makes Jimmy Hu$tle a force to be reckoned with.  The beat that carries "The Plain Dealer" bangs so HARD, you won't notice that your head is bobbing slow until after the songs ends…your body just automatically synchronizes with the beat. Okkkkk Sooooo when I was randomly invited to be a special guest on Iam216radio #PHUCKYOFRIDAYS, I will admit….I was somewhat happy, kinda nervous, SEMI-clueless (like how in the hell did they think of me)  and a small part of me felt like suddenly…I was actually "cool". I was happy, cuz hell…who isn't happy when they get invited to something? I was kinda nervous cuz….ummmmmm…have you ever listened to #PHUCKYOFRIDAYS?!?! I mean DjChuckTheWorld is insane, blunt, will blast any and everyone, ask you anything ,disrespect you if you shoutout your Instagram (it's funny) and talk a ton load of sh*t. I was clueless as to how I was picked, but then I remembered  *JennyPooh you run 1 of the dopest blogs in the city, plus your pretty damn awesome…duhhhhhh *Headroll fingasnap. Then I felt cool, cuz I've always seen SADITY P. out at events, and we've had casual small talk, and shared a few awesome hugs, but she's always seemed so "DOPE", like totally on a different level, that I felt pretty damn dope myself , just from her extending an invite. 

Once the promo dropped on social media, I was even more excited! I mean damnnnnnn I was on the same promo with Johnny Filmworks  and Silly Azz Hoppo!!! (*MAMA I MADE IT!…shoutout to my mama ) I hit up SADITY P. just to make sure the studio was where I thought it may be. Located in Maple Hts., if you blink twice you will surely miss it driving by. There's only 1 door that I had noticed before, and usually it's blocked by a variety of people standing outside, texting, selfie taking, dap giving, and periodically shouting "wassup wit you girllllll" from across the street by my "other job". After confirmation I was at the right place I made my descent up a huge flight of stairs.

Soon as I ran out of stairs to climb, I looked around and was totally confused. I mean it looked just like a regular old office building. Nothing stuck out as a "studio". No posters, or self-branding stickers ( *I need some of those damn stickers), nothing...nada. I was about to pull out my phone and send a text like "I'm lost", but a tiny dude sitting slouched in a corner, started babbling something to me. At 1st it was hard for me to translate what he was saying. He was talking on his phone, and pointing his finger around me, at me, and past me... all at once. Finally I was able to figure out his sign language. He was telling me "go thru that door right der". I kept looking at the door, then looking back at the little man, then back at the door, then back at the little man. I'm pretty sure the little man was growing frustrated cuz I kept signing back to him "this door?"…"You mean go thru this lil door?" His finger started to grow more erect, and he was finally sitting up straight pointing like "duhhhhhhh that door dumb ass".

I felt like I was in some kind of scary movie at 1st. I mean the doors were confusing! There were literally like 2 doors, and not regular old doors! These doors were the smallest, slimmest, shortest doors I have ever seen. (*Think of the doors on a broom closet, or where your grandma would keep her jams,or a switch for dat ass, or something like that, think… a secret porthole door to another dimension) I was standing there with my hand on the handle wondering how in the world anyone , especially DjChuckTheWorld's tall ass could possibly fit inside . I started thinking it was something weird going on, but as I looked behind me the little man had vanished so I figured I might as well see what was behind door #1.  I opened the door, and suddenly I saw door #2! Door #2 was literally 2 steps in front of me. I found myself standing in a dark , tiny closet…no lights, no nothing! I calmed my state of panic , and told myself to just open door #2... that it would push me to the other side. I slowly pushed the door open and slightly ducked my head so I wouldn't bump it. I felt like damn Alice in Wonderland after what happened next!!!!

OMG!!!!!! Soon as I peeked in, walked in and finally was able to stand up straight I was AMAZED!!!! I felt like I had been teleported into another dimension!!!! The Iam216radio studio was FU*KING AWESOME!!!!!! It was the smallest space I had ever seen, set up as a studio. Yet it was the most creative, decorative use of space I've ever seen used for radio! My eyes couldn't stop scanning the room! There were a few chairs that lined the short wall. There was a strong looking desk/studio table, and there were at least 4 high quality mics, all in working condition! (*cuz really, ya'll know most studios come with 1 bum ass mic you can't use) As my eyes made their  way from the ceiling towards the ground, I noticed Johnny Filmworks already seated. He mos def looked like he had been on the trip I was about to take before. He looked "prepared", but I wasn't sure what for. 

The whole studio was themed out for Halloween! There were cobwebs, and skeletons, and all types of fun festive decor! SADITY P. was in full hostess mode, she warmly welcomed me with a genuine smile, and she kinda nodded for me to take a seat. I sat down and it wasn't until I looked straight ahead that I noticed DjChuckTheWorld sitting in the captains chair right in front of me! I was still nervous cuz I was replaying a previous show and I thought he would just start going in, but to my surprise…he simply looked up from his phone, and offered a smile that was just as sincere and genuine as SADITY P's was.

I automatically felt comfortable inside the studio. I finally was able to pan towards the left of the room, and that's when my eyes damn near popped out of my head! Sitting like some sort of magic potion, was a huge…and I mean HUGE jug/cooler/fountain…filled with a lemonade like beverage. I could tell it was fresh, the crushed ice was still in a solid state, the water perspiration was still collecting , not yet dripping from the chill, and small perfectly sliced parts of lemons and limes all floated on top of the potion like a garnish blanket!!!! 

I was thinking "WTFFFFFF type of dream am I in right now?!?!" Johnny Filmworks quietly sat , kinda rubbing his hands together, not in a nevous way but an excited way, like he couldn't wait for take off. SADITY P., and DjChuckTheWorld gently puffed milds, as he they both calmly tried to figure out the password to start the show. SADITY P. kept throwing out possible answers, I even tossed out a few, and I noticed that never once did SADITY P. nor DjChuckTheWorld grow frustrated. They seemed to stay calm, totally laid back, when most people would freak out, grow impatient, or try to blame someone else for the mishap. Finally a guy named AP walked into the room. I could tell he had been in this dream before. He finally was able to get the show unlocked,(soon afterwards he disappeared again)...and so it began. 

#PHUCKYOFRIDAYS kicked off, SADITY P. slowly began to pour the magic punch into skeleton goblets for each of us. The punch was INCREDIBLE!!!! It tasted like a wonderful poison. Not the nasty kind, but the kind that eases you into a dream like state of mind, that makes you want to come out your jacket, and relax. It was cool ,refreshing, and it was sweet and sour, not a hint of liquor…*yeah…that dangerous stuff!. I found myself almost chugging it when Johnny Filmworks asked if I had drove. I slowly sat my goblet down once he told me had had caught an UBER, because last time he was a total mess from the punch. No wonder he looked "prepared" earlier, and excited. DjChuckTheWorld dropped the intro and instantly we were in flight! He has a way of mixing ol skool classics, hot sh*t now, trap, twerk , R&B, and EVERYTHING together perfectly!!! 

I quickly noticed that DjChuckTheWorld and SADITY P. are the definition of #teamwork. He seems to really enjoy playing music. Not just playing anything, he actually seems to plan ahead of what he would like to hear, he moves that fast, and it all flows together. Shortly after my 1st few chugs of my magic potion SILLY Azz HOPPO came thru the tiny door! He brought a small entourage with him, and I found it somewhat comical watching others cautiously peep thru the magical door, just as I had earlier. SILLY Azz HOPPO pulled up in the chair next to me. I quickly learned that it's true what people say "comedians…are always ready and turned up, animated like a MUTHA-F*CKA"!!!! He looked crisp, and ready…his haircut was creatively chaotic just like him, and he also brought sincerity and a genuine ora about himself that I enjoyed. His manager UNTAMED DAME quietly sat back and provided a strong sense of support without speaking many words, and UNTAMED DAME also brought MEECH, and PT who seemed to backup UNTAMED DAME, who backed up SILLY Azz HOPPO, and yeah…they mos def looked like a group bout business. 

The mood slowly began to melt into a pool of mush once the music was playing, and SADITY P. finally got up and started making her way around the small space. She was dressed in all black, and her perfectly manicured fingers were purples, and dark hues. She resembled some kind of beautiful witch, not the evil kind, but the good kind. She would slowly introduced everyone, making sure we all were no longer strangers. She would slowly pass out hugs and as she did she would gently slide her hand around the back of our necks, or leave her hand resting on our arms even after the rest of her body had moved on. She had a way of looking each of us dead in the eyes, and smiling her smile that was almost hypnotic, like she was sending us some kinda of good witch craft to make us do something crazy! She would encourage us to sip the punch, she bustled about making sure we all had our drinks, she made sure everyone was comfortable! After we were all slowly cast under her spell, she sat back down next to DjChuckTheWorld. We discussed a few hot topics, we took some calls,we prayed for the local crackheads,  and we all talked some sh*t. 

Halfway into our magical ride the door creaked open again. This time it was a cute, bubbly, thick female! She to came thru the door as if she had already visited this dream before. She was just as friendly as SADITY P., she took the last seat available, and that's when things started to turn up! After Johnny Filmworks, SADITY P. and myself made a pack earlier in the night that we would not be partaking in any recreational drugs, between the music, and that damn punch, along with everything else, we all started to forget everything we had promised ourselves . SADITY P. slowly started to take out her buns she had in her hair, she let her hair down like in a slow motion shampoo commercial. DjChuckTheWorld not once seemed distracted by her good witch sorcery. She would gently lift her shirt or lower her leggings just a lil, to show off her incredible ink. *We all wanted to see her body canvas, not to be freaky, but she has some of the best artwork on her body, and it looks perfect against her light skin. He seemed used to it all, he almost seemed like the male version of her, a man witch, who played music, the right music, to put you in a wonderful trans and make you feel happy and free. He would look towards me every so often, from his gigantic flat screen that hung over head , that was obviously some of the newest software out he was using for the show. He would smile, and nod…like "welcome…to this dream"…then he would go back to playing music. I realized that he isn't 1 of those Dj's/hosts who talk wayyyyy more than they play music. He 's very in-tuned with his feelings, he spoke of rejection, motivation, independence, and support. After that he was right back playing music.

Johnny Filmworks aka Mr.Heights Girl himself, aka SWING LOWE, (aka *everyone wants a part in his movies) was starting to feel it, he connected well to the ol skool LL COOL J that was being played. He spit word for word and I couldn't help but think, *OMG he is under the spell!!!! It was awesome!!! SILLY Azz HOPPO had filled up his goblet multiple times by this point. He too was slowly slipping under the #PHUCKYOFRIDAYS spell. DJChuckTheWorld dropped the classic Tip Drill (*shoutout to a Nelly #classic), and suddenly there was twerking and money being tossed...before DjChuckTheWorld stopped it and said "hold up, I need that back, that's my mild money"! We all laughed, and we all networked with each other. The music still playing, SADITY P. made her way around the room, taking turns sitting in each persons lap. Only a hating ass b*tch would think her actions were "shocking". When really, SADITY P. is so genuine, beautiful, and sincere…she just wants to spread energy….her energy is so addictive I found myself impatiently waiting for my turn to have her come sit on or next to me. Her long hair smelled like a fairy would smell, like flowers... and at this point she was offering the finest herbal refreshments 1 could wish for. She dipped her hand into the magic potion, and gently forced us all to suck a lime or lemon, the #PHUCKYOFRIDAYS spell made it impossible for us to resist. IT WAS AWESOME!!!!

AP…the dude who unlocked the show earlier had been missing for hours, until he was found in the bathroom. His body seemed to be rejecting the spell from earlier before the #PHUCKYOFRIDAYS show had started, but once he stepped back into the magical studio he seems to find strength again. AP awkwardly placed on his leather jacket as he stood in a tiny corner in the room . From 1st looks he seemed to be participating in some kind of Blair Witch Project weirdness. He was facing the wall, kinda mumbling to himself. SILLY Azz HOPPO was attempting to freestyle. He was successful in his attempt as AP started to hum and sing in a mic posted in the owner of the wall!!!! Just when I thought AP was being haunted, it clicked that he was actually singing! I was shocked! He could actually sing!! It wasn't until  I saw DjChuckTheWorld break away fully from his playlist, that I realized where the singing was coming from. He encouraged AP to "sing like you sang it before", and AP grew stronger as if DjChuckTheWorld was magically making his voice work. After AP gave it his all, or the best he could under the intoxicated circumstances, DjChuckTheWorld looked semi-satisfied and returned back to his work on the flatscreen. 

*Usually when in a studio, and it's filled with guests, and laughter, and a million things going on, the host may sometimes lose focus of what's going on. There are times when things get out of hand, and the guests will sometimes attempt to takeover the show. Not in this case*

#PHUCKYOFRIDAYS is completely controlled by DJChuckTheWorld. Not once did he lose his leadership role.He sporadically interacted with the guests who were listening on line, or with the the Mixler App.  He asked us nicely to use "inside voices", and even when SILLY Azz HOPPO repeatedly asked for an instrumental…like a million times (*it wasn't him…it was the punch I swear) DjChuckTheWorld assertively denied his request, not because he was being an as*hole, but because it's his show and he was in the middle of his groove. I respected his authority, and it was even more cool to see someone be in control of a chaotic situation. 

Tons more music was played, and we all talked amongst each other about our crafts, and how us being who we are now, has changed how people view us. It was uplifting and motivating. Johnny Filmworks passed so much credible knowledge on to me, and even under the spell of #PHUCKYOFRIDAYS I was still aware that I was sitting next to 1 of the biggest entrepreneurs in our city, and he was giving me encouragement and ideas! Then, right next to me I was sitting side by side the next big social media comedian SILLY Azz HOPPO, like he was literally making jokes, and brainstorming out loud right next to me! 

Time seemed to fly by...before I knew it I was sadly putting my jacket back on, and saying my goodbyes. SADITY P. was floating around, taking selfies with everyone, sending us off with love and a warm feeling inside. Johnny Filmworks was to far gone under the #PHUCKYOFRIDAYS spell. His vest was unbuttoned, and a small bead of sweat lined his forehead….he looked HAPPY! Unlike Johnny Filmworks, it was my 1st time experiencing "PHUCKYOFRIDAYS and so I had prior commitments that I was already tardy for (*blame the punch), but not before I signed the wall with the awesome silver paint pen!!! Knowing what I know now, if I'm ever invited back I will mos def clear my schedule for at least 2 days. The whole vibe inside that tiny room was filled with positivity, love, support, laughter, freedom, good wholesome sexual energy, music that filled the soul, and people who shared all contagious gifts of creativity. I felt like a kid being dragged home from a party….I wanted to cry almost, I wanted to stayyyyy, I wanted an UBER damn it!!!!

SILLY Azz HOPPO said "look around this room, every single person in here has a gift to share, everyone doesn't have a gift…." and that's when DJChucktheWorld looked up and said "No….thats not true…everyone has a gift, its just that everyone doesn't know how to use their gift"

If you are ever lucky enough to be invited to Iam216radio #PHUCKYOFRIDAYS you can call yourself blessed. I woke up the next morning smiling. Feeling like it was all a dream. It seemed unreal, like a scene from a magical movie. Very fun!!! I've been on a few shows and this show by far has been 1 of my top favorites. SADITY P. and DjChuckTheWorld are amazing together! I'm not sure what you will be doing on the weekends…but…. #PHUCKYOFRIDAYS!!! XOXO

Okkkkkk Soooooo now that Summer is leaving us (well….I don't think we can call a few dry, hot days "summer"…but hey…it's CLEVELAND) it's now time for the bestis season of the year!!!! *Yeah.. I said "bestis…*headroll fingasnap! Nooooooo I'm not talking about FALL, I'm talking about the official OHIO HIP HOP AWARDS 2015 season!!!!! This year is super special, not only because the Best of Best are nominees, but also because this marks the 10 year anniversary of the OHHA! A decade of celebration will be happening in CLEVELAND September 13 - September 20! Please make sure you VOTE for your favorite nominee. I will admit, the voting is difficult because the ballot is full of A1, talented artists. Soooooo call all ya kinfolk, baby mamas, baby daddies, friends away at college, and people who may be locked up, (cuz they all have emails now) and tell them to vote!!! See you on the Red Carpet! SPARKPLUGENT INTRODUCES RAW INKED!

Okkkkkk Soooooo let's face it. When becoming an artist of this musical generation…the qualifications needed to succeed have gotten…pretty cloudy. Judging (and I shouldn't) from what people have been trying to force on us, all you  need to be a "rapper" is a whole bunch of tats from your local , not very well qualified tattoo artist aka "yo cuzzo", a couple of pair of Jordan's, and hella social media "followers" aka ghost followers who never like your music, or support you craft. I mean it's getting pretty difficult toseparate the real from the wannabes. How many times has someone aggressively instructed you to "yoooo click the link in my bio"…and a low quality video pops up, with lyrics that sound WACK? I was just beginning to loose all faith in local artists til Splash Rob invited me to the CASTLE, for a party and performance show.

I was kinda just taking in my surroundings at the club. I live on the WESTSIDE (*throw up ya w's), but it was my 1st time really being around mostly Westside artists, in a Westside club. There were a few crews gathered in different groups. There were chics dancing all around, all in the guys faces being flirtatious, and there were a few people dressed in typical club wear…*ya know what I'm talking about. I was standing close to the stage, next to a super tall,extra slim light skinned  guy. He was sitting on the edge of the stage and kinda bobbing his head to the music. He wasn't surrounded by anyone really, he seemed to be in his own zone. His hat apparel stood out, because it was simple yet intriguing. It read "RAW INKED". As I tried to figure out where I had heard RAW INKEDbefore…he suddenly jumped up on the stage, and after a few moments his shirt came off and he was going full throttle!!!!

I was shocked!!!! I kept looking at the empty spot where RAW INKED sat just a few moments prior. Nooooo this wasn't just another wannabe rapper, with whack tats, and no delivery. RAW INKED had the whole clubs attention! His endless tats showed their perfection under the lights, and he seemed to kinda strut and pose, and cover the small stage with calculated steps….like he had actually practiced his showmanship before. (*You gotta be able to work the stage *headroll fingasnap) While he was performing "GET MONEY", I could tell he really had taken the time to work the beat, use inflections in his voice, and more interestingly …he managed to take an almost overused term like "Get Money", and make it seem like it was something new that we just got hip to!!!!!

Letting my RAW INKED curiosity finally get the best of me ,I headed straight over to social media to investigate. Not only does RAW INKEDhave hella followers…they are legit! They constantly show him love, and they "like" every little thing he posts! The link in his bio will quickly direct you to some of the most high quality videos from a local artist! I mean he has videos shot by Ced Lynch…yes..theeee Ced Lynch, Holla Films , MIKEY FILMS and more! I was so impressed withRAW INKED I sent a personal invite to GET IT POPPIN studio, where he was a featured guest on #GIRLPOWERRADIO!  I honestly didn't think RAW INKED would show. Only because he seemed so "cool" and "all that". So when he peeked thru our door,  I instantly gave him hella kudos! RAW INKED is confident, humble, outgoing, artistic, and really down to earth! He introduced his song "HIGH" and seemed non chalant about it finally being played on the radio. Later on after I checked out his IG ,I noticed he had posted himself in the studio, and it was awesome to see so many fans support him. It was even more awesome to see an artist actually enjoy everything that was happening in their career. Some artists are "to cool" for their own good. RAW INKED quickly made it clear…he doesn't rock Jordan's all the time, he books his own shows, studio time, video shoots, and runs his own social media. #DOPEURBANWEAR CLOTHING is #DOPE

Okkkkkkkk Sooooooo when shopping online…you always wonder if the product…is legit. I came across #Dopeurbanwear1 on Instagram. I was attracted to the #dopestreet wear, and brightcolors. I placed my order, and as time went by…I grew impatient. Feeling as though I was scammed via Instagram, I contacted the owner of #Dopeurbanwear. I was all in my feelings  , frustrated with waiting, and feeling lost out here incyberworld. It took a minute for a response, but the owner finally contacted me and apologized for the untimely delay on my shipment. She was very concerned, and she explained that she had been so overwhelmed with orders she wasn't expecting . GIPBKR and Big HEFF Introduce DJ INFAMOUS aka #Mr.DOUBLECUP

 Okkkk Soooo when I packed up my camera, and headed over to Get It Poppin studio, I'll admit I was dragging my feet. Sparkplug Ent.had been personally invited to a meet and greet, and I still wasn't sure who I was interviewing. After getting buzzed in I pushed my way thru the door, and got damnnnn there must have been 40 people all crowded around something or someone…listening like there was no tomorrow. Im no "Jesus", but the crowd seemed to part as I waked thru giving me space to take flicks. Soon as I made my way next to the huge guy in a hoodie , I recognized his voice but not his face. It wasn't til I put 2 and 2 together that I realized it was "MR.DOULE CUP" himself DJ INFAMOUS!!!!

Q. How does it feel to be here in CLEVELAND?
A. It feels good! I'm from Lansing, Michigan so it's like home to me.I'm enjoying this rainy weather. I'm from Michigan, so you know I'm cool with the rain. I like hoodie season, so this is my type of weather right here.

Q. How many hoodies do you think you have?
A. Damnnn…probably bout 100.

Q. Which artist have you really enjoyed working with so far?
A. That's hard to say right now cuz I'm just getting started. I'd have to say everyone who's on my single "DOUBLE CUP".

Q. If you're not listening to hip-hop what other kind of music are you listening to to get beats from?
A. Pop, Rock, pretty much everything. Ol skool, 80's rap and R & B…I'm an 80's baby, so I love the whole 80's era.

A. Trippy stick, deodorant, toothbrush.

Q.Do you love being on the west coast or down South more?

A. I love theeee South, I mean I love the West Coast too…but the South…the South is mannnnnnn SHEESH lol, that's why Imoved down there, I love the South!

Q. Have you been out o the country yet?
A. Hell yeah, I'm on my 2nd passport.

Q. Which is your favorite country?
A. Singapore, and Romania.

Q. When you touch down who's the 1st person you call?
A. My girl!!! I mean I got to, if I don't she'll be mad.
